If a figure here looks wrong, tell us. We'd rather be corrected than be wrong.
How to report something
Email us with the home's name, the page it appears on, and what looks wrong. One sentence is enough. You don't need to be connected to the home to report an error.

What happens next
- Within 2 business days — we acknowledge your email.
- Within 7 days — we check the figure against the source extract and reply with what we found.
- If we got it wrong — we fix it, and note the change and its date on the page.
What we can change
- A figure that doesn't match the government's published data.
- A home's name, suburb, provider or region if we've recorded it incorrectly.
- Anything unclear, misleading or badly worded — including in our own commentary.
- A page for a home that has closed, merged or changed hands.
What we can't change
- A home's rating. Every rating on this site is the Australian Government's own, reproduced without adjustment. If you believe a rating is wrong, that's a matter for the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing — we'd only be misreporting their data by altering it.
- A home's position in a list. Ordering is generated from the data by a published method. There is no paid placement here and no manual reordering, for anyone.
- Data that is simply out of date. Each page shows the extract it was built from. We refresh within a fortnight of each quarterly release.
For providers
If your home's rating has improved since the extract shown, that's genuinely good news and it will appear at the next refresh — we keep every quarter, so improvement over time becomes visible rather than being overwritten.
If you think our presentation of your home is unfair rather than inaccurate, write and say so plainly. We read every message, we'd rather resolve it by email than any other way, and we will correct anything we can't stand behind.
Our record
We keep every quarterly extract we've published from. That means any figure on this site can be traced back to the exact government file and date it came from, and we can always show what the data said on the day.
